SUNDAY SERVICES | December 16, 2007 "To Be or To Be--That is the Question," Andrew Friend, Guest Speaker, This is not a misquotation because it ain't got nothing to do with Hamlet. December 23, 2007 Multi-Generational Holiday Woship Service, Reverend Jim Bodman

During our Sunday services we hope to offer participants the opportunities to gain insights, recognize ethical
challenges, and perceive a sense of connectedness with the world around us, all within the context of a caring community. Our complete mission, principles, history, a photo of the church, and office and minister’s hours are located at About Our Congregation.
The services begin at 10:30 a.m. and last about an hour. Although our address is 4451 Dunsmore Ave., the main entrance to the church is around the corner on First Street and is wheelchair accessible. You will find parking on the street and in the small lot adjacent to the building. Please feel free to dress however you wish, as people wear anything from “Sunday Best” to jeans, with the majority wearing something in between. Our attendance is usually around 40 adults and children.
As with most Unitarian Universalist churches, our services cover a variety of themes (see Speakers and Topics below). Our usual format includes hymns, readings and a sermon. We also set aside time for those who wish to share the ups and downs of their lives—this is a great chance for us to learn more about each other and to build fellowship. After the sermon, the minister or guest speaker encourages members of the congregation to ask questions or make comments.
Children attend the opening portion of each service. After “story time” (when the minister or a church member speaks to the children), the religious education teachers take the children to their rooms for their classes. Of course, any child who wishes to stay with his or her parents is welcome to do so.
Coffee and conversation in Fellowship Hall follow the service, with a potluck salad luncheon on the first Sunday of every month. (Don’t worry if you don’t have a dish to bring; there is always plenty of food!)
The Membership Committee will be hosting:
"EARLY COFFEE AND GOODIES "
