Greetings in the midst of international and congregational heartbreak and loss. UUVerdugo remains a safe place for people of good will to gather. Come to laugh, learn, reflect, sing, and put together those complicated puzzles, both literal and metaphorical.
LAST SUNDAY'S SERVICE
Pattee Colvin of Making It Happen came by to inform congregants of opportunities to share time, talent, and treasure with individuals and families in need in the coming holiday season. Check out Pattee & Co,'s great work here.
We were also graced with the return—for their first time together—of Laura Joy and Cynthia Brando, veterans of multiple Verdugo HUUTs and Sunday service song-slingin'. It's always great to have thyeir energy in the room.

Wednesday: Social Justice letter-writing to Virginia Voters in Friendship Hall. This community event begins at 1 and features fellowship, snacks, and ACTION.

Beginner workshop 1-3 PM
Reiki 2 class 3-5 PM
Please bring your blue "Healing Touch" manuals if you have them. I will have some if you need one. Official classes are $50+manual if you are working on a certificate, otherwise $10 per workshop. (First workshop is free)
I am looking forward to sharing the loving healing of Reiki with you all. Please invite any others that might be interested. Let me know if a Zoom is needed.
For those of you who have already attended a workshop or class, here is a reminder of the Reiki Precepts. I start every day with them to set my intentions for the day.

Don't let the breezy rom-com poster fool you. This is a deeply-felt and beautiful movie (though not devoid of laughs) about a grieving widow and the community that grows around her.
